Makerbot Cupcake

Status

  • Hasn't been used in ages
  • Connected to a paste extruder

Features

  • MakerBot Cupcake
  • Lots and lots of aftermarket 3D printed parts

Usage

The cupcake now runs off the same toolchain as the ultimakers, running the same Marlin firmware. This means you can treat it almost identially. (eg: Use Cura/tegh)

You will have to download the Cura profile from github [1] and set the dimensions in cura to match the machine. (This cannot be embedded in the profile for some reason.)

Operating ABP in tegh

The bed can be heated similar to the extruder. Note that it overshoots, raise the temperature slowly, and don't set it above 85C.

 set temp b:85
