Before coming to the lab

Review Entry, Safety & Exit Videos

Self screening

  • Before coming to the lab self screen using https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/
  • Do not go to the lab if you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, are feeling unwell, or are otherwise at a high risk level as indicated by the self-assessment tool.

At the lab

Occupancy

  • Each area of the lab has a poster indicating maximum occupancy
  • Maintain at least 2 meters of distance between yourself and other people

Masks

  • Wear a non-vented mask covering your mouth and nose inside the lab, you are protecting yourself and others around you
  • If you want to use a vented respirator, you must cover the vent with another mask to prevent spread of exhausted particles
  • Mask may be temporarily removed to drink/eat while maintaining social distance from other people
  • Members should try to bring their own masks and any other desired protective gear
  • There are masks available in the kitchen next to the first aid kit, pay what you can into the donation box
  • If the mask supply runs out and you are not able to restock it, notify operations@hacklab.to

Cleaning

  • Wash your hands with soap and use disposable paper towels to dry them. Do not use towels.
  • Disinfect all tools before and after use, 70% alcohol and paper towels available in all common areas
  • If any cleaning supplies run out and you are not able to restock them, notify operations@hacklab.to

High transmission risk equipment

  • Do not use the VR rig
  • Be extra thorough disinfecting face-contact PPE like safety goggles, ear muffs and face shields before and after use
  • Prefer to bring your own PPE if possible instead of using shared items
  • Prefer to use disposable earplugs instead of ear muffs

In case of infection

  • If you are diagnosed or suspected of having COVID-19, contact board@hacklab.to
  • The membership will be notified of the danger and the lab locked down until it can be sanitized
  • The booking schedule and door entry card records will be used for contact tracing
